Old kirsch Reserve 15 Y.O

This is a cherry brandy from Alsace, France. It is made by fermenting and distilling the small red and black Guigne cherries. As tradition dictates, our Old Kirsh Reserve is matured at least 15 years in basket bottles ang kept in a dark attic. This is a very powerful and complex spirit and is not advised for beginners. It has a bright, clear colour. The nose is of cherry and a hint of dried almonds. The palate is intense and has a lingering, dry exit. Serve chilled.

The Swiss add kirsh to their fondues. We have tried it and agree it is delicious this way.
